Dan is a life-long Lucas County resident and appreciates the good life South Central Iowa has provided him and his family. Dan received his B.S. in Farm Operations from Iowa State University in 1972. He established Kent Farm Management and Real Estate in 1986 and co-owns this business with his wife, Debbie. He is principal Broker for real estate transactions and actively manages twenty farms for absentee owners. Dan has a 200 head Angus cow herd as a part time endeavor. He enjoys spending time with his family especially his grandchildren, spending time on his farm, and playing cards with friends.

Alan Umbenhower is an Associate Broker/Farm Manager with Kent Farm Management and Real Estate. He was born and raised in Lucas County on his family's farm West of Chariton. After graduating from Chariton High School, he went into the grain handling and feed business for 14 years. In 1991, he went into the Real Estate and Farm Management business. He has lived on a farm all his life and currently has a cow/calf operation with his father and his son. He enjoys golf and all sports in his spare time, if he has any!

Hilary Masters is a lifelong resident of Chariton, graduating from CHS is 1997. After receiving a degree in Interior Design from the University of Northern Iowa, she was a kitchen designer in Des Moines. Hilary and her husband Seth own and reside on a farm northwest of Chariton where they have a small cow/calf operation. They have two young children, Stuart and Ellie. Jamie Keller is a Chariton native graduating from CHS in 2004. After high school he went on to play baseball at Southwestern Community College in Creston, as well as baseball and football at Grandview University in Des Moines. Jamie has had his real estate license since 2010 previously working the Des Moines market. He works full time for Midwest Family Insurance as a claims adjustor and is pursuing real estate sales part time. In his free time he enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. Tara Hopkins grew up in Maryland and graduated from Goldey-Beacom business college in 1993. She married her husband Jeff in 1993 as well. She worked in corporate credit card banking for 17 years. Her husband Jeff has been a professional archer since 1993. They have 2 children, Jena and Scott. And they also have 2 grandchildren, Rosalee and Ricky. Jeff, Tara and Scott moved to Lucas county in 2013. They purchased a farm just south of Lacona and a home on 30 acres in the south side of Chariton. |

Michelle Folkerts grew up in Melrose and graduated from Albia High School. Married to Todde Folkerts, Lucas County Engineer. They have 3 children Will (Sarah), Tyler, and Micaela(Vadim). They also have 2 granddaughters Eleanor and Lucy. Michelle is the Administrative Assistant. Some of her tasks are balancing accounts for the farms that Dan manages, correspondence, typing forms for our real estate sales and computer imputing. Before coming to work for Kent Farm Management and Real Estate Michelle worked at Columbus Elementary School for 13 years. |
